Hi Keith:
Just wanted to take a minute to say thanks. Savannah called last night and she just sounded so “up” and excited. Please know that this is not her way. She is like her dad in that you don’t always know whether she is happy or not as she plays her cards close to her chest.
She was so proud of herself for the soccer game she played in and about running a pond and back almost the whole way without stopping. She was even excited about earning a scratch by flipping the go cart. We were so happy that she got a little war wound. She is sooo cautious and careful that we worried that she doesn’t seem to take reasonable risks. So, sorry about your go cart but thanks for letting her let loose a little bit.
Anyway, we will be there to pick her up around 10:30-11:00 on Saturday morning. I appreciate your offer for her to stay longer but am not surprised that she didn’t take you up on that. She is the ultimate homebody…and four weeks is a long time for all of us. But we thank you for taking care of her…I think this summer will be seen as a big turning point for her. She sounds so grown up on the phone!
See you on Saturday and thanks for everything…
