We have many physical activities including our team, adventure and recreational sports, as well as many creative activities including arts and crafts and music.

Event Days

Just about every week the camp breaks off from normally scheduled activities to have a specialty event day. On International day, our international staff gets to represent their home country and lead a team of campers who compete against each other in sports, musically, and also artistically. These days are extremely fun and exciting!

Color War

What is it? Only the best week of your time at camp, your entire summer, and quite likely your whole life. Camp is divided into two huge teams who will battle to the death against one another throughout the week to earn the title of Color War Champion. The teams are each assigned a theme and a color, such as Red Punks vs. Blue Preps, or Brawny Blue Movie Stars vs. Raging Red Rock Stars, around which all of the events revolve. The teams are each headed up by special counselors known as Captain and Generals, fearless leaders who are chosen because they are the most energetic and enthusiastic at camp. Your team becomes your family for the week, and together you will work to write cheers, songs, skits, make flags and banners, and compete in some good old fashioned sporting events (as well as some wacky ones too!).

When is it? Color War is the best kept secret at camp. No one, not even the staff, know when it will begin (notice it isn’t listed on our calendar to guard the secret). Generally half way through the summer the dining hall breaks out in choruses of, "1-2-3-4 we want Color War, 5-6-7-8 we don’t wanna wait!" Color War strikes when you least expect it; in the middle of the night, during an all camp trip to the roller rink, halfway through a camp dance. It may be with fireworks and explosions, or it may be with speedboats rushing in off the water and motorcycles roaring on land. Once Color War breaks, Game On! Prepare to sport your team colors all week, sing your heart out and play until you can play no more. This week is the biggest energy blast of the summer and the foundation for some of your favorite camp memories for years to come.
