A Typical Day at Camp Empire Lake |
- 7:45am - Wake up
- Counselors sing or blast songs you once loved but will come to hate!!
- 8:15am - Breakfast
- Plenty of choices; cereals, fruits, milk, eggs, toast etc.
- 9:00am - Cabin Cleanup
- Tidy your clothes and common area, make your bed etc.
- 9:30am - Line Up
- All camp Line-Up with Announcements and Morning Stretches. Birthdays are
announced and celebrated, campers achievements recognized
- 9:45-11:00am - Period 1
- All periods may be either active fitness activities such as soccer, aerobics
or swimming or less active periods such as cooking, nutrition and arts and
crafts
- 11:00-12:30pm - Period 2
- Throughout all periods campers travel with the campers and staff in their
Division - a cabin group based on age and gender. Some activities combine
different divisions so you have lots of time to hang out with all your camp
friends
- 12:30-1pm
- Time to shower, change, and get ready for lunch. No one likes to go to lunch
in a wet bathing suit!
- 1pm - Lunch & Rest
- Huge variety of choices that change daily, such as pizza, hot dogs, grilled
cheese, as well as the salad and sandwich bar available every day. Rest time
is an opportunity to relax in your cabin and hang out with friends, write
letters, play videogames or nap.
- 2:30-4pm - Period 3
- 4:00-5:30pm - Period 4
- 5:30-6:15pm - Shower time
- In case you didn't get a chance to shower earlier, or you just feel really
smelly. . .
- 6:15pm - Dinner
- Like lunch, we have tons of options for dinner, such as pasta, chicken,
hamburgers and wraps. Make sure you ask the cook about her awesome brownies,
a special treat!
- 7:45pm - Evening Activity
- Theme dances, hypnotists, movie nights, bonfires, game shows, capture the
flag, as well as an opportunity to play in a club or league in your favorite
sport, or just hang out
- 10:00-10:30 - Bedtime
- Brush teeth, get into pajamas and talk about the day with your counselors
and fellow campers in a "huddle up" night time ritual. Get into bed and whisper
and laugh until your counselors have to tell you to they can see your flashlights
are on!
